School Hours

School starts at 9.15 a.m. and finishes at 3.30 p.m. The class registers are completed between 9.15 and 9.30 a.m. After this time, your child will be marked in as late and you will be asked to complete a late slip providing the reason.

Punctuality for school is taken very seriously throughout the Royal Borough and will form part of the forwarding report to your child’s primary school if necessary.

Please telephone if your child is going to be absent from school for any reason. If you do not notify us, your child’s absence will be recorded as unauthorised. Attendance is also monitored and any prolonged absence or series of absences may be investigated as part of our Safeguarding and Child Protection practices. If your child is persistently late or absent the Education Welfare Officer may be asked to look into the situation.
