Every Child Matters
The Every Child Matters agenda is the government’s plan to reform and improve children’s care and was written in direct response to the inquiry into the death of eight-year-old Victoria Climbié.
In the Children Act: Every Child Matters (2004), the government set out its policy and provided the framework which all of us working with babies, children and young adults from birth to 19 must adhere to.
Educating our young children and supporting them to lead safe, happy, healthy and successful lives, both now and in the future, is at the very heart of what we do at St. Anne’s.
We ensure that our curriculum and provision play a fundamental role in helping to promote all of the five outcomes of Every Child Matters, which are:
- To stay safe
- To be healthy
- To enjoy and achieve
- To attain economic well being
- To make a positive contribution
